Mythic Mods >> Theme Mod Lists >> Travel Mods | | Mod Forum

Caution: This is a mod list, not a listing of compatible mods nor a specific endorsement of any that are here listed. Some mods are likely to conflict with others. See Telesphoros' List o' Mods for play tested mods and some recommendations on compatibility.

Read the readmes and start small to avoid problems. Some of these mods may still need to be cleaned of "Evil" GMSTs. Remember also to always backup your files before messing around with mods (especially Data Files, Save Games, and Morrowind.ini).

See Starting Out With Mods first if you are new to mods or new to Morrowind for PC. It is recommended reading before you start down-loading mods and messing up your game.

Please note that some mod makers patch and version their mods quite frequently. Links on this list therefore may not always point to the most current version: it is often worth double-checking the author's home site or the major download sites to ensure you have the most recent release. Also, mods are not removed from this list because a download source is experiencing hopefully temporary difficulties: where possible, alternate sources will be included.

Contents:

    Fast Travel Mods:
  • Ald Velothi Fast Travel
Adds a new NPC, Abin Erushara, to Ald Velothi who will transport you by boat to Gnaar Mok and Khuul. You can also make the reverse trips from those villages.

This plug-in was designed to make it so you can get from any ship port to any other ship port that came with Morrowind. Now you can go straight to your preferred destination without changing boats 3 or 4 times.
  • All Mod Teleporter
This isn't a teleporter for "ALL" the mods out there, just the ones t I'm using so far ... here's the list of mods supported:
A Good Place to Stay 1.8 (Simstar) / Black Queen Chronicles 2.5 (Tenaka) / Five Toe Guild 1.0 (Vandermast) / Haldenshore 1.1 (J.O.G.) / House of Mannequins 1.0 (Grumblepunk) / Japanese House 1.5 (Sniper Darla) / Magic Bags by (EberKain) / Moon Spawn 1.3.3 (Paul H) / Pocket Dimensional Home 1.6 (Qwert_44643) / Vivec, Guild of Mage Offices 1.0 (Wombat in Combat) / Wolf Manor 3.2 by (KLLRWLF)
There'sa feature so that if you don't use some or all of the modslisted above,to disable the button so that you don't accidentally try to go to locations that you don't have. This item also has the capibility of teleporting you to the major towns in Morrowind.
  • All Strider Ports
This plug-in was designed to make it so you can get from any silt-strider port to any other silt strider port that came with Morrowind. Now you can go straight to your preferred destination without changing silt striders 3 or 4 times.
  • Aomar Clan (Transporters)
This adds the Aomar family that has set up a transportation network across the island.
  • Aomar Clan Travel Map
I made this maps because I think it was so hard to read the map included with Aomar Clan plugin wich makes travelling at Morrowind so much easier. These maps here is made with Vector Graphic wich should give the printout of this document the best quality possible.
  • Ashlander Camp Travel
In the main quest there are three Ashlander Camps. The Ahemmusa Camp, the Ersansimum (sorry I can't remember the real name) and the Zainab camp. This mod makes the Wise Women's able to transport you between the camp's. Just click on Travel at usual.
  • Ballon Transport
This is really just a mini-mod that adds some transportation, in the form of hot air balloons. You can catch a balloon ride from Gnisis, Ald Velothi and Ghostgate.
  • Balmora Travel Guides
A 'cheating' way to travel quickly, differing from many other mods in that this one allows you to travel WITH your companions.
  • Bloodmoon Teleport Mod
Adds a new misc item, the Skull of Teleportation to Greirir the Mumbling's dwelling on solstheim. Equiping the skull on the player, allows the player to choose one of 4 locations around solstheim to teleport to. Fort Frostmoth, Raven Rock, Skaal Village and Thirsk.
  • Caldera Teleport
This mod allows you to teleport between Balmora and Caldera. This mod is intended for the players not affiliated with the mages guild, who therefore cannot use their service.
  • Caldera Teleportation Spell
Adds a spell to the game that allows the player to teleport to the Caldera Mages Guild. This spell can be found on a scroll in the Caldera Mages Guild tower. Read the scroll and the "Teleport to Caldera" spell is automatically added to the player's spell.
  • CompanionTeleportation 1.1 [WA]
Tired of Companions that can't follow when you teleport? Afraid to run external programs? Then this one is for you. Talk to your companions about 'teleportation and then use an Intervention, Recall, or the new Companion Teleport spell and the companions will follow to any exterior location. This is a trimmed down version of the features in Improved Teleportation 2.0 so don't use both at the same time. Use the MultiMark Mod with this and you'll get many of the features of Improved Teleportation but only in exterior cells. (Version 1.1 really does work with MultiMark now.)
  • Dragon Riding Service (Page in Polish)
Adds Dragon Riding Services to Ald'Rhun, Ebonheart, Caldera, Dagon Fel, Gnisis, Khuul, Balmora, Vos, Seyda Neen, Vivec, Suran, Sadrith Mora, Maar Gan, Molag Mar, and Pelegiad. Just talk to the Dragon Rider, they arn't the friendlist people, but if you bribe em enough, they start to like ya. Anyway, have fun anyone, and BTW DONT ATTACK THE DRAGONS lol. You get a 5000 bounty for even attacking a dragon, and every Dragon Rider will never let you ride thier dragons again, AND if you kill one of the Dragons, you get an additional 25000 bounty. So don't mess with em, they take thier Dragon Riding Service very personal.
  • Dubious's Teleport Ring
73 locations including 4 in Mournhold; Creeper, Mudcrab; many towns and strongholds; secret Masters etc...
  • Dwemer Sky Glider
Given to me by one of my Dwemer friends, this glider (with flying pants) will let you soar the skies in comfort and ease. Just equip the glider and pants and away you go! See the countryside in style throughout your travels. I left the glider in Balmora, in the main courtyard by some rocks for you to use. Oh, the pants you need to wear are under the glider on the ground.
  • Fast Travel to the Great House Strongholds
This mod adds 3 new NPCs that give you fast travel options to all of the Great House Stronholds (If you do not yet have a stronghold, they still take you there, but there is nothing built).
  • Flying Broom
This is a magical flying broom - The Nimbus 500 - which allows you to travel across Morrowind quickly and easily. It does not work in Tribunal (no levitation magic works in Tribunal). This broom is located in the Balmora Mages guild. It can be found in the lowest level in the seminar room against the wall to the left of the lecturn. It is a weapon and is equipped thusly. It works regardless of whether it is readied, as long as it is equipped.
  • Great Houses Amulet
Great Houses Amulet allows the player to have access to special teleportation at will, once he owns a stronghold from one of the three Great Houses.
  • Guild Guide Quest
This plugin adds a quest that, when complete, awards the player with the ability to cast a Guild Guide spell, to teleport to any of the 5 Mages Guilds.
  • Gyro's Ring of Flying
This mod was written to add a new method of fast travel for telvanni as they gain rank. Being powerful in magic, I thought there should be some way for a telvanni to travel rapidly and easily to multiple locations, but that it still should be inconvenient to obtain. I placed a book in the census and excise office that gives a hint as to where you can find this relic. You must have the rank of Mouth before you can use this. When you've finished your stronghold, a teleport to there will also be added. Remember also that great power places a great weight and stress on the person weilding it, be warned...
  • Hall of Doors
Tired of the endless walking? Annoyed that even the various forms of instant travel don't reach many settlements? Hall of Doors adds a new area - a small interior cell with 28 doors to various parts of Vvardenfell. Once you've gained access all travel is to and from the Hall of Doors is free, via a 'portable door'.
  • House Hlaalu Stronghold Travel Agent
Adds a travel agent to the Hlaalu stronghold.
  • Ice's Hideaway
Adds a uniquely textured home for the player and a couple cool companions. It also has teleporters in every town.
  • Imperial Airship
This is basically a teleportation service across Vvardenfell with new flying ship. There are some new airship platforms in: Vivec, Hlaalu - Caldera - Gnisis - Ald Velothi - Dagon Fel - Ghostgate - Sadrith Mora - Pelagiad
  • Imperial Legion Guides
I have created a network of new Legion members who will provide travel to the other forts. You will find each one beside the Imperial altar in most cases. If I succeeded in my efforts, they might not open up to you until you have completed the quests in Fort Darius.
  • MWSE and Improved Teleportation 2.0
This plugin improves teleportation in two ways:
    1) Any NPC or creature followers will actually be able to follow when the player uses teleportation magic. If the player uses scripted transport (like the Propylon Chambers) a simple no-cost spell can summon the current set of followers to the player's new location.
    2) The Greater Mark and Greater Recall spells allow the player to store and return to nine locations, which can be anywhere, even interior cells added by other plugins.
  • Jandus' Transport Service
Just past the lighthouse in Seyda Neen is another dock, and at the end you will find Jandus on his enormous ship. Jandus will transport you to Gnaar Mok, Hla Oad, Suran, and Ebonheart, enjoy.
  • Lost submarine
Creates a submarine (The Nautilus), for the player to live in, with teleport facility.
  • Master Trainer Teleport
Just a simple ring that will teleport you to each and every one of the Master Trainers in the game. It's located in Balmora, Council Club. Go downstairs where there is two doors on either side of the hall and a chic standing between them. Go to the unlocked door on your left... it's sitting on a shelf.
  • Mournhold Mage's Guild Services
This plugin adds Mage Guild Teleportation services to the Magic Shop in Mournhold's Great Bazaar. It's very simple, but it adds a lot of functionality for those of us that are still playing the story in Morrowind, but wish to play in Mournhold as well. I am not fond of using several recalls, jumping through Vivec, to Ebonheart, and then to Mournhold.
  • Mournhold Teleportation Fix
Modifies Asciene Rane and Effie-Tie (the NPCs who teleport you between Ebonheart and the royal palace in Mournhold) to allow regular guild guide-style travel. You can now take as many companions with you as you like, or bring Calvus or a packrat back with you to Vvardenfell.
  • Mournhold Travelling by Ship
A simple but quite useful mod that allows travelling to Mourhold by ship directly from the Ebonheart port.
It adds 2 NPC's - one in Ebonheart and one in Plaza Brindizi Dorom. This makes travelling faster (you don't have to go through all Ebonheart) and also makes it possible to take the guy-for-hire and pack rats away from Mournhold. (because they can't teleport with you).
  • Multiple Teleport Marking Mod
Thismod replaces the built- in teleport and mark spell with a version that allows setting multiple teleport marks on up to 12 different places. Every time mark or recall spell is executed a small menu pops up to select one of the 12 provided slots for this action.
  • Nyagetan
Adds an Altmer named Nyagetan, guild guide looking for work; find him in the Balmora Guild of Mages. Nyagetan can be used as your companion, a guild guide with travel service to 4 mage guilds, spell seller, enchanter where ever you want him to hang out.
  • Odai Plateau Travel
This plugin creates a gondolier route between Balmora and the Odai Plateau (Rethan/Hluula Manor). The docks and gondoliers will appear when you have reached stage 3 in your Hluula Manor.
  • Partners Travel
This mod adds a travel option to all friends/companions/partners in CM_Partners including any custom partners you may have created with the instructions included in the CM_Partners readme.
  • Private Mobile Base: Morrowind
Teleport your base to 11 locations around in Morrowind. Choose the city to live in and press a switch to dock at the local mages guild or hover above the city of your choice.
  • Private Mobile Base: Morrowind + Tribunal
Teleport your base to 24 locations in Morrowind and Mournhold. Choose the city to live in and press a switch to dock at the local mages guild/Temple or hover above the city of your choice.
  • Private Mobile Base: Morrowind + Tribunal + Bloodmoon
Teleport your base to 35 locations in Vvardenfell, Mournhold and Solstheim. Choose the city to live in and press a switch to dock at the local mages guild/Temple or hover above the city of your choice.
Note: for this version, there is a Private Mobile Base: Addon Pack available.
  • Princess Docks
A 'lite' alternative to the popular Seyda Neen Docks. This adds a small docking area to Seyda Neen, with four storage shacks and four NPCs, including two travel NPCs providing a total of eight destinations including Solstheim and Mournhold.
  • Propylon Guild Guides
Folms Mirel has three new helpers in the Caldera Mages Guild. If you've completed the Master Index quest they can transport you AND any companions that you have to the various propylon chambers...
Note: Require Master Index Plugin @ Elder Scrolls Official Site or Planet Elder Scrolls
  • Ring o' Teleportation
Creates a ring called "Ring o'Teleportation" for travel to: Balmora, Ald'ruhn, Sadrith Mora, or Vivec.
  • Ring of Teleportation
The Teleport Master will present you the standard dialogue choices but also have other at the top prefaced with asterisks. Clicking on these choices will teleport you to that particular location. I chose what I thought was a reasonable list of popular cities, having gone through the game and seen most of the places so far and you are placed in a hopefully convenient spot in the city.
  • Runestone
This mod adds an item that will teleport you to 67 locations across Vvardenfell, Solsteim and Mournhold.
  • Secret Basement
One House in Balmora, Caldera, Ald-Ruhn and Vivec they all lead to the same house ....very handy...so you can go in at Balmora go out at Vivec....sounds great doesn't it? It has a ring to teleport back home too and it can recall.
  • Seyda Neen Fast Travel by Sea
This mod attempts to "fix" the fact there was no travel by sea available in Seyda Neen. A new NPC is by the docks with her boat. You can now travel to Hla Oad and Ebonheart, both of which give access to the main fast travel lanes by sea
  • Solstheim Transport
Adds an Altmer named Nyagetan, guild guide looking for work; find him in the Balmora Guild of Mages. Nyagetan can be used as your companion, a guild guide with travel service to 4 mage guilds, spell seller, enchanter where ever you want him to hang out.
  • Sorefoot Enterprises, Inc.
Tired of walking? This plugin adds four new silt strider outposts to the romote regions of Vvardenfell (Ashlands, Molag Amur, Grazelands, Azura's Coast), a new city with merchants, houses for the player, and quests suitable for characters of any level or role-playing style. Expanded ship services (to include Skaal Village).
  • Strider Ports
My first mod. The goal was to add something to the Strongholds making travel to and from them a little easier and a little more within the realm of established Morrowind parameters. It would have been much much easier to add an NPC teleporter, but that wasn't quite what I wanted.
  • Stronghold Teleporter
The Stronghold Teleporter is a simple script, positioning the player into his Stronghold. There is one key for each Stronghold; when you equip the Teleporter Key a small amount of Magicka will be removed and you will be teleported to your Stronghold.
  • Stronghold Teleport Rings
One ring is in a chest in the main room of each stronghold; Redoran, Hlaalu and Telvanni.
  • Teleportation Spells
22new spells allow you to teleport to almost any town/village in all of Vvardenfell! Finally make use of that Mysticism skill, and reward your powerful mages!
  • Teleporter Mod Revised Tribunal
Adds the Ultimate Teleporter, a ring that allows travel to 63 locations in Morrowind, including the House Strongholds and 1 location from Tribunal (Mournhold Royal Palace Reception Area).
  • Temple Teleports @ Planet Elder Scrolls or ElricM
This mod adds transportation to every temple in Morrowind at a cost, there is transport to every temple in Vivec, all the other temples just have 4 transportations to other temples. Just look in every temple for a new NPC.
  • The Boatmaster
Find the Boatmaster in Ald Velothi. He will teach you to row and sail, then introduce you to some quests. These quests will earn you a longboat and a few homes if you want them. Allows scripted fast travel to ll points around Vvardenfell and Solthsteim.
  • Thieves Guild Travel
Adds a travel service between branches of the Thieves Guild. See readme for info and locations.
  • Trade Route
A new transportation option that travels between Pelagiad, Ft. Buckmoth, Urshilaku Camp, Zainab Camp, and Erabenimsun Camp via a trader's cart ride.
  • Vivec Teleporter
When you walk on the bridge to Vivec Foreign Quarter on your left you'll see a barrel, in this barrel is a stone. Equip the stone to be teleported to any one of the cantons or the mages guild. It is simply for convenience.
  • Vvardenfell Travel Agency
A new company has started in Vvardenfell: VTA-Vvardenfell Travel Agency. When using their services, travelling with companions will be a lot easier. It doesn't matter where you are, the travel agents will always show up and bring you and the rest of your party to one of totally 32 locations.
VTA Travel Agency sells longterm-tickets in the shape of rings that can be bought from the Balmora trader Ra'Virr. One ring will take you and everyone else in your party to 17 Morrowind city destinations and the Redoran, Telvanni and Hlaalu strongholds, from any place you wish. Another ring will take you to Morrowind Ashlander camp destinations. There are also rings for the Mournhold and Solstheim areas.
Just equip a ring, and you will meet one of the VTA travel agents. It doesn't matter where you are - the agents will always be at your service.
  • W3 Taxi Mod
Tired of the endless Telportation ring swapping? want something a little more realistic? Ride one of these dandy hand-run carts just like in little China... Morrowind Style.
    Real Time Travel:
  • Fishing Academy
Fishing Academy has come to town and have set up their base on a small island off Vvardenfell (located slightly west of Gnaar Mok). It was too bad it was not possible to be able to do any activities at sea (considering the vast ocean available in the game) This mod will give you the ability to do so and more. Conflicts with SellnSail Galleon.
    Screenshots and more info.
  • Flying Carpet
Fly across Vvardenfell with the magic flying carpet. Control the flight in real-time ( no msgboxes interruption).
  • If Wishes Were Horses
Ride Horseback courtesy of MagicNakor! Many different pants versions and great versatility.
  • Lord of the Dragons
This is essentially a mod that allows you to ride dragons in real-time.
    Screenshots and more info.
  • Pegas Horse Ranch
MadMax brings us a special horse ranch which will allow you the ability to buy, sell, train and breed horses. Twenty different horses broken down into 3 categories are available with the proper training and breeding. A bonus feature allows your companions to ride horseback as well.
    Screenshots and more info.
In addition AlienSlof made some nice Horse Retextures that can be found here. There's new book art to match and now the retextures come in a high resolution format.
  • Pegas Horse Ranch Saddles Add-on
This mod replaces the saddle mesh with a Better Bodies compatible saddle and lower torso, there is also the option of riding your horse bareback (no saddle). It's the "Saddle" link on the left side.
  • Reign of Fire: The attack of the dragons
A great danger grows in Vvardenfell, a myth creature, forgotten and turned into a fairy tale. The dragons have returned to the main island of Morrowind and they are planning to destroy the empire and impose the reign of fire.
  • SellnSail Galleon (direct link) and Sell 'nSail Bloodmoon addon
Set sail with a buyable galleon and pull into port all over Vvardenfell. The Add-on adds Fort Frostmoth and the Skaal Village to the list of Ship Fast Travel destinations in SellnSail Galleon. Conflicts with Fishing Academy and multimark mods. Conflicts with the Black Mill.
  • Stormrider
Looking for a ship of your own, but don\'t want to do the Fishing Academy quests? Would rather have a standard ship with seperate cabin and below decks instead of the Sellnsail galleon? Well I did, so now you can too!
  • Ultimate Galleon
Allows the player to sail a ship in real time, walk the decks, fire cannons, and even bring companions along. Even your horse from Pegas Horse Ranch. So what are you waiting for?! Head on over to Suran and convince Max to let you have his ship.
    Screenshots and more info.
