      #2969703 - 08/25/04 05:09 PM

Is there a script command for turning the collision of an object off? Anyone know?

I think collision is built into the mesh babes. You wanting a false floor or something?

Nah, I'm making a moveable furniture mod, and sometimes you get stuck inside the stuff after placing it. I thought maybe I could solve that problem with a script...

Not on any particular object. You can turn world collision off by using the command TC.

Well... if you can use fixme in a script, this might work:

begin collision_fix ;attach this to the piece of furniture.

if ( GetDistance, player < 5 )
fixme
endif

end

Just a guess... don't expect anything.

That might be a better solution, Mode. How about floating the object xyz with the check "OnPcDrop", and using a "position" command using those variables (if it's possible) on the player?. Does fixme automatically "fix" the player, or only the calling object?

fixme always works on the player, I think. Otherwise, your method of setting pos would definitely work, but if my 5 lines of code does the job... why mess with it?

Alright, so if I add 'fixme' to the right spot in the furniture script, it will remvove the collision? I've never heard of that one. I'll check it out shortly.
